We regularly get asked questions regarding the quiz and our services. We have done our best to answer them below.

Why is SpeedQuizzing better than the traditional pen and paper style quizzes?

Almost everybody has a smartphone these days so why not use them to quiz? To play is very easy and players input their answer into the app as opposed to writing the answer down, this allows for more features and makes it a fun quiz experience. There's no more swapping papers, waiting for answer sheets to be marked, no more 'just give us 5 more minutes', no googling the answers. All of these in our opinion make SpeedQuizzing much better than pen and paper.

Do you have your own equipment?

Yes we have our own PA system and large and small mixers, depending on each venue. 

Are you insured?

Yes, we have Public Liability Insurance up to the value of £5 Million. Our host will carry proof of this if required.

We played an 'interactive quiz' and the 'host' appeared on the TV screens and not in the venue, is your quiz the same?

Absolutely not!!, we have a live host in all our venues who will ask the questions/tell bad jokes. The quiz works in much the same way as a pen and paper quiz with a host asking questions. The main difference is players input answers into the SQ app.

Will we be competing against other Pubs/Venues

No. All our quizzes are in a specific venue and you will be competing against whoever is in the same place at the same time.

How much does it cost to play?

This will depend on each individual venue, typically players entry fees will be around £2 - £5 per player, depending on the type of quiz that is being played.

Can I play on my own or do I have to be part of a team?

You can do either. We recommend no more than 4 players per team but it's up to you if you want to compete against your mates!

What if I don't have a smartphone or my battery is low?

Hopefully one of your team mates have one. We do carry a small amount of Kindle tablets so it's likely you could use one of these.

Do I need WIFI or mobile data?

No. All players taking part in our quizzes will connect to either our pocket hub or our more powerful Ruckus router (in larger venues) you will however need WIFI or mobile data to download the SpeedQuizzing app prior to playing the quiz.

Is this suitable for Weddings/Corporate or Team Building events?

Absolutely! we can tailor questions to suit the type of event.

What other games do you offer?

After your quiz has ended, you can extend your night by having a game or 2 of music bingo. Click here to find out more about our music bingo service. We also provide rolling jackpots such as Play Your Cards Right, Jackpot Joker or Strike it Lucky, these games provide a rolling jackpot and can achieve a large jackpot.

AH but...people would just come when the jackpot is large!

This is very true and happens all the time. Our policy to keep it fair for all is we allow 'newcomers' to purchase only 1 entry into the jackpot game with the 'regulars' allowed unlimited entries. We believe this is the fairest way of dealing with this and most players agree and are happy with this policy.
